And So It Goes - T1D Is Still Here

Yesterday, I shared that it was National Diabetes Awareness Month.

All month.

All November.

For thirty days, we get a spotlight to shine on all that entails this very grueling, expensive and never-ending disease.

Let me emphasize that.

GRUELING.

EXPENSIVE.

NEVER - ENDING.

I have had people tell me, "I could never poke myself."  or "I don't think I could do what you do."  or "How can you get up at night?  I need my sleep.  Don't you need your sleep?"

And to all of those questions, the answer is always the same.

You would do anything you had to do, if YOUR life depended upon doing it.

So for all of the grueling, expensive and never-ending days and nights ahead, UNTIL WE GET A CURE, our family will continue sharing the advocacy efforts through November and for as many days after as we need to.

Because for this, OUR life depends upon doing it.
